Why is it that so many fail when it comes to making money as an affiliate? One common theme that I see daily is prioritization and the sad fact is that far too many poor affiliates spend far too much time on things that ultimatly will not help them achieve their online goals in the short term. If your goal is five figures monthly, that getting your prioritize in order is so very important.

Great video yes we do need to focus on whats important to succeed your right.
Thank you
It seems like people would know, but you are right, I have caught myself paying too much attention to unimportant details.
I think your system is the best I have found online and you do seem to care and help people. Thanks.
Thank you, Brian.

Great video as usual, I have recommended your recent webinars to a few friends as it is great as explaining what the whole concept is about.
Too true about spending time on stuff that doesn’t make us money, guilty as charged, I have made entire sites that never made a penny just because it was more of a creative outlet.
I guess the lesson is getr stuff done and don’t get sidetracked, a pretty site isn’t going to pay the bills.

Hey Brian,
Great video … a nice “it’s almost the weekend, how much have you accomplished this week”, kick in the pants! Focusing on the task at hand is not that complicated, but prioritizing to know “what the heck the task at hand should be” probably affects more folks than are willing to admit. Good to hear from you … your videos/tips/”rants” (your word) are always welcome. Thanks for keepin’ it real.

Hello Brian,
This is not going to a “cheesy” comment like I see 95% of the people leave just so they can get a back link to some half-ass web site that they threw together with no thought to SEO, themed content or giving the search engines what they want. I am putting my heart and mind into this.
I don’t link to my sites, from blogs, forums or anywhere just for a link. I don’t need to. My top ranked sites get all the traffic I need for free because I have listened and learned from Brian Johnson.
I create content like he taught me, give people what they are looking for, what I like to call entertaining, enlightening and educational. Not crap from PLR or from some two-bit writer that can hardly put two words together. I write my own content. Brian teaches that. Listen to him.
Brian, this is one of your best videos. I feel like you are finding your “voice”, cutting to the chase and telling it like it is. I encourage you to continue along these line. I came to internet marketing knowing diddly squat, I didn’t know SEO from a CEO and I have used your courses to be successful.
I started with your tremendous SEO Press Formula went on to the even better Commission Ritual and the Inner Circle and have learned so much from all your webinars. Man those are great. I even have transcribed a couple. Some I have on DVD and watch every month or so. You are the man. I followed your simple instructions and today I am full-time online, quit my day job and making more money than I ever have in my life. I am living life on my terms, get up when I want, go where I want and I owe most of that to you for getting me started.
Brian J. knows what he is talking about he is the “real deal” so quit farting around with all these fancy systems that promise mega buck riches but will do nothing but drain your bank account and your time. I know I bought one, wasted two weeks – got confused – refunded and went back to Brian J’s methods and will never do that again.
I am not in the public eye Brian, my name isn’t on my websites and I don’t make videos with me on them. I admire you for that but that’s not my style. I just quietly rake in the bucks in obscurity and thank you every day for being there when I was getting started. Thank you for being honest, creating a honest system that works now and in the future. Thank you. Thank you.
Hey Charles,
Thanks much for the well thought out comment, I got started
in the internet marketing niche to help some folks out and make
some money along the way.
Charles, it would seam that I have helped you to do just that, continue
with your journey Charles, this year will be filled with more great stuff from
hope your with me as it will be fun, exciting and filled stuff that plain works.

Brian,
Always appreciate the support you give us! We are still launching sites and managing the others. Just today I had to go back and review some tips of yours for our latest site launch. I know one day the right stuff will surface and we will succeed in this business.
Thanks Again!
Hi Brian,
Thanks for sharing such valuable information. It is very clear that you are ‘saying it’ as it is with the intention to add value to the lives and businesses of your readers. I’m looking forward to learn more from you and to take serious action…
God Bless you and your family.
Hi Brian,
Brilliant rant and just the kick up the butt I need to give me the confidence to put your teachings into action. Love your work – you have an easy and transparent style that you present with.
Thanks for the motivation and focus of priorities advice!

Thanks for that, great video. I’m guilty of putting the cart before the horse and have wasted so much time messing around with unimportant stuff while ignoring the important things that matter.
You’ve refocused me. I’m going to get to grips with the top three items on your video.
thanks

Nice video, great advice for the newbie, though I doubt they will follow it – I know I didn’t when I started out. I just wish all you gurus would stop with the social proof stuff. It takes up far too much of my valuable time.
Hello Brian,
I am terrible at writing content, especially targeted content.Do you pay to have it done or are you mainly doing it yourself? Please forgive me if you have already answered this question.I have just started following you.
Always a pleasure to hear your voice Brian and especially like the “This video is going to piss people off!” statement.
It’s always good for me to be reminded of the crucial and absolute basics to this making money online business. I am indeed guilty, at times, of allowing myself to drift off towards the bottom of the list rather than be focusing on the 3 core elements.
Excellent refresher course Brian and one that I (hopefully) will NOT forget.
Best wishes
Bradley

Brian,
Thank you for this video. I am guilty as charged when it comes to spending time trying to change those things that really don’t make me any money. I started online marketing 5 years ago, got front page and built me a website, and it’s been #1 for years in my chosen keywords and I never knew why. I didn’t know what a keyword was or how Google ranked. I just bumbled my way along and made some $.
I was turned onto your program from a good friend and as I watched Commission Ritual it all started to fall into place. I finally understood how I did what I did and now I’m working on doing it again. I’ve launched a new site, I’m ranking and getting traffic and have even made a few bucks on adsense. I’m still trying to figure out the whole affiliate thing.
Thank you for all you do. I’m looking forward to the day when I’m self-sustaining.

Hey Bry,
As usuall, killer basic hear and play stuff. I am a journeyman electrician working as a master trade electrical specialist at homer (sic:brian) depot. People try to kill themselves with their ideas of electricity, I am not kidding. Brian has seen talented people fail in IM. I have seen Master electricians die.
My point to Brian. There are no basics that are obtained quickly.
Brian is not a cook, er; I mean chef, he is a master of the marketing code.
I am likewise, through my field experience I help and guide my customers to follow correct code or at least try to prevent electrocution.
If I cannot talk basic to my customers, show through demonstrations the right or wrong in wiring a 3 way switch, then I have failed.
I talk basic everyday.
Brian is just building a great foundation, his apprenticeship should be regarded like any apprenticeship. 4 to 5 years of basicness.
Best regards to all
mark
Brian,
An excellent video with a lot said to continually remind ourselves that perfection is not the key here. I am interested in making money and lots of it, and it is a video like this that at least keeps me focused on the purpose of what I am doing, because it is easy to get distracted by a hundred different things if you let it happen.
Thank you, Paul
Hi Brian I could only see the first 10min17sec of the video. It stopped playing after that. Did you took the video of the net?
kind regards
Michael
Thanks very much, but really wish to watching it if I could please.
Thank you Brian for you straight forward honest approach.
As a newbie it is so hard to not get off track with all the shiny stuff out there.
Thanks for the reminded that it is to make money and to build a business not a hobby. Without the basics there is no foundation.
Robert
Hey Brian
I have made a copy so i can watch off line a few times this is one of the best video’s to explain how it fits together

Brian, once again, great stuff! I have been following you since last summer and continue to enjoy what I learn from you and the guest speakers you bring to us.
I started NascarRaceNews after buying the domain in May 2009, and am now getting over 3,000 visitors a month. I started out just to see how it went, and only in the past month did I try to monetize it.
We’ve launched a few Valentine’s sites in the past 3-4 weeks, and already rank on pages 2 and 3 out of over 8 million pages. We just slowly following your strategies, building up sites, so that over time, we’ll have 100′s online making money.
Thank you so much, and do keep up the great work. Would love to meet you someday to shake your hand!

Hi Brian!
Thanks for the kick in the hind end. This video really hit home because though it’s hard to admit, it’s pretty much what I’ve been doing.
My biggest issue is that I don’t know which way I want to go. I think Amazon no, CPA no, maybe shoot for adsense no, maybe stick with affiliate marketing. Ohhhh Boy, I guess I really just have to pick a direction and go for it. I’ll work on that :=)
Mike
Brian,
About every couple of weeks or so, I pull out your video #3 to get me centered on what is important. Learning SEO basics and keyword niche research is droned into my brain so I won’t get distracted.
Because of your advice, I can get onto page two of google and now, with a bit of backlink work, ect, slowly move up into the top 5 positions.
AMAZON – I “Will” find the chink in your SEO Armor!
Thanks Brian!

Brian,
Did Hanna tell you that this DOORKNOB continued asking her how to change the color of the template? I get the feeling I may have been your latest muse.
Seriously, this was great to listen to. It is overwhelming! So much information and although it should be easy – it’s complicated. Tonight I tried the link cloaker and lost my site completely. (Back up now, but …aye vie!!!!!)
Knowing what Google wants is challenging too. You say use the Link Cloaker, and Google says implicitly, don’t. So …as I said, overwhelming.
THE GOOD NEWS IS – you have so much incredible info in Commission Ritual, and I have committed to always move forward. I won’t stop at anything. I am forfeiting the need for any of it to be perfect. HECK, until I have 25 sites up, I won’t even know the routine elements, so keep moving forward!
Thanks. I just can’t say enough about the wealth of help this series has been.

To anyone that needs direction in affiliate marketing. You are getting top notch information here that actually costs lots of money. There are many ebooks and courses it takes time to read and understand the principles. Often the ebooks sit around on a hard drive, memory stick, or even hard copy. But by video you can quickly comprehend what you need to learn. You’re being educated properly with what gets results yes it’s allot easier to use Word Press where there are so many helpful plug ins available. Anyhow this is a great starting place to start earning money.
thanks,
Vincent J. – NJ
Once again you’ve hit the nail on the head. So many newcomers including myself get stuck on the aesthetics of the site because most of the sites we see everyday are well prepared by professionals and we feel that we have to do the same. Some of us find it very difficult to switch back and from the consumer mindset and the marketer mindset.
Very nice video again.

As usual Brian, another informative video. I admit that I have spent many an hour making my sites look ‘pretty’, with lots of fancy graphics and clever coding. But it does seem that people don’t care that much if you are giving them the information they are searching for. Thanks for your continued help. Regards Paul….

Brian,
This is a good and “natural” video tutorial for those who want to take an immediate start. The thing that I don’t understand really is the difference that you make between those who want to make money online and those who simply want to understand how internet marketing works (they are suggested to leave immediately:)). Are there such people, I mean the latter?

Hi Brian,
Like Charles I am not posting a comment here to get a free backlink.
I discovered for 1 week your CR & I know what my next challenge is: “collecting/making” around 60 euros to purchase the whole course & start improving my family’s income.
From what I read & watched it seems to be something really useful containing ALL the needed informations to get started correctly.
I dont like the word “mentor” but I should say I FEEL you will soon become a source of inspiration for my Affiliate Journey.
See you later inside!
Alan.
Brian, you’re still the best. I am staying with you from now on. No other so-called “gurus”!
Hearing the advice and the passion in your voice again a few months after this was originally posted has been a powerful experience.
Looking at your list of priorities I would say I’ve been following them but the difference is what you choose as your niche.
You said it at the beginning Brian – go for keywords at the end of the buying cycle. These tend to be products and I think I’ve mostly been going for info keywords.
I get the traffic but little conversion. And I guess the folks I get visiting my sites are looking for info rather than shopping.
Time for me to review your commission ritual videos again.
