SeoPress Challenge #4) Complete Wordpress Install, Activate All Plugins, Make Changes As Need

Welcome to day 7 of your affiliate challenge, over the next week your goal will be to further familiarize yourself with the course content and to full tweak and optimize your wordpress installation before moving forward. If you have not watched all the core wordpress tutorial videos you will want to do that now. Furthermore you will have one week to make all the changes to your wordpress installation for your first site, this includes uploading the recommended plugins, activating each plugin and tweaking your wordpress options. I have included a detailed list below. Before we move on however ….I recommend you print off the individual blog posts here on netmarketing course.

I buy a lot of ebooks and courses and I always print of the manuals and reports. Especially when I am learning, this way I can put the printed materials right in front of my face and follow along.

I also read these types of reports about twice in a row until I have the concept down cold. I do this even if much of the information is already familiar to me, it really helps me along though. I can use the printed pages and make lists, highlight important parts and what not.

I am finding that many of the Players have lots of questions and what were doing through the process of launching wordpress and using the seo tactics taught through the course.

I would advise you start a three ring binder, label it:

Seo Press - 60 Day Challenge

And print off all the blog posts contained within this category of this site.

Print off each individual post and add it to your binder. This way you can check off to make sure your following along and your not forgetting anything.

Fully Tweak Your Wordpress Installation & Plugin Activation

Settings You Need To Change / Update:

1. Options, Writing
2. Options, Reading
3. Options, Permalinks
4. Options, All In One Seo
5. Activate The Wordpress Plugin: Akismet
6. Activate The Wordpress Plugin: Auto Poster Social (If You Purchased That Plugin)
7. Activate The Wordpress Plugin: Link Cloaking Plugin (To Cloak Affiliate Links)
8. Activate The Wordpress Plugin: PhpBay Pro (If You Intend To Monitize Your Site With Ebay)
9. Activate The Wordpress Plugin: Any Other Plugins Need For Your Site
10. Tweak Your Category Title (Change From The Default “Uncategorized”)
11. Make Sure You Have Added At least 15 Outbound Links Via Wordpress Links
    (this should have already been done by this point already)
12. Make Sure You Have Deleted Both:
1. “Hello World: Welcome Post
2. Default “About” Wordpress Page
13. Make Sure Your Site Is Using One Of the Free Seo Optimized Wordpress Themes From The Included Seo Press Theme-pack
14. Make Sure You Have Changed Your Own “Username” Login and Password
15. Make Sure You Have A List Of Keyword Phrases That Are Based On Your Sites Niche And Additional Keyword Phrases That Are Based On LSI Terms
    (you will use this keyword list in the next assignment to start adding additional content to your site)

Furthermore, Before Moving On Next Week When We Start To Add Content

Make sure your sites homepage has a 500 to 600 word article (must be unique content not found elsewhere online) that you wrote yourself or paid someone to write. Do not use PLR content or content already found online, this is key to your sites future success, you may also want to link out to other high ranking sites within your sites niche in the lower third of your homepage content. This will help to further build trust with your site and Google.

Feel free to start writing content articles from your list of keyword phrases, you will use this content next week as we begin to add additional “posts” to our sites.
