Seo Press Challenge - Assignment 6) Gaining Quality Inbound Links
If you have followed along to this point then you have launched a website using unique content, which will greatly enhance your sites chances for ranking well in the search engines such as Msn, Yahoo and the powerhouse that is Google. One of the core fundamentals of Seo Press is that we do as much as possible to create the most search engine friendly content and we do it according to the Google Webmaster Guidelines.
Many seo experts would agree that to this point we have focused on what is often called “on page factors” meaning that we have only worked on our site and have not focused any energies to the promotion of our site. Because our sites are very search friendly a few solid inbound links from other “trusted” sites within our niche will go a far way in helping our site to rank very well.
Early in the process of creating our sites we focus on high quality inbound links from trusted sources, later when we move on (to other web projects) we can continue to add additional links that are much easier to come by. However the real ranking power comes from a few high quality sites, so we will now focus on gaining these types of links over the next few weeks.
About This Link Building Technique
This method which I have coined “Lets Get Blogrolled” has worked for me quite well for a number of years now. Each time I have put this method to work my sites rankings have improved have in the search engines over time. It has never failed me, not once 
Important aspects to remember:
- Quality Over Quantity (were not after lots of links right now, we just need a few high quality links)
- Provide real content, forget about copying and pasting the same comment across multiple sites
- Make sure to find sites that have active webmasters, offer outbound links, rank well in google and are on topic

I just wanted to thank you for the abundance of useful information on affiliate marketing!
I’m totally new to the plugin phpBay Pro as of today. I cannot activate my plugin and phpBay’s website won’t let me post on their forum. My host told me that it’s a scripts issue but they cannot help! I don’t really know who to ask. Maybe you’d know the answer. If this is a hassle I totally understand.
I can see the phpBay PRO plugin in my wordpress back office plugins page. But, when I go to activate it I get the following:
“Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home1/xxxxx/public_html/xxxx/wp-content/plugins/phpBay/phpbay.php on line 76″
Would you know how to fix this?

Hi David,
Thanks for your kind words, I am glad your finding the info here on the site helpful. Have you tried to contact Wade at phpbay pro (Wade is the developer) I know he just currently updated the plugin and their was issues with the activation process of the plugin.
I am using an older version that does not have any activation, so it is hard for me to really know what is going on with your site / plugin.
I would contact Wade, I am sure he can offer some guidance.
