The Importance of Sales Copy — the Power of Words
I just came across some time-sensitive information which is so powerful that I felt I had to share it with you right away!  And if you put this information into action, you can double or even triple the amount of money you’re making online with the same amount of traffic.  That’s what I call mighty stuff.  And the mighty stuff I’m talking about is “sales copy.”

Let me tell you a little story about my own early success which dates back to 2002.  As you may or may not know when I first got my start my focus was on ranking well with Google and driving traffic.

These were great strategies that made me good money.

I was proud of my achievements and happy with the journey and its process.

I got to be pretty good and was able to launch websites, rank well (top 10) for the kind of terms that I had chosen and I could drive a whole lot of traffic.  I could also guide my visitors to various places such as signing up for newsletters, sending them to affiliate offers to make me money through affiliate programs and I could sell them my own product listing. Life was good and I was quite happy, however my own success was blinding me and I was leaving money on the table.

As successful as I was, however, there was one key component that was missing — I did not understand or appreciate the importance of sales copy.

Don’t get me wrong — I would not change anything about my early period as an Internet marketer because that is when I learned tons of important details about Internet marketing, about affiliate programs, about Google, about keywords and phrases, about niche markets, and about building effective and efficient money-making websites.

Still, had I known then what I know today about sales copy and had I used it as I use it today, I would have made a whole lot more money — with the right sales copy my then impressive success could have been by far more impressive and the good money I was making could have been terrific!

But what is a sales copy?  A sales copy is a direct message made up of carefully selected words and phrases which are directed at readers and its purpose is to persuade them that what you are offering is exactly what they need and then to motivate them into action.  In that way, more visiting readers can more easily be converted into happy buyers.

Today, I am not only totally convinced that sales copies are powerful marketing tools, I am also completely passionate about their value and I never stop being excited about learning all that I can about them.
