Video # 2) Seo Press Affiliate Payload Challenge (Adsense & Launching Your First Site)

Assignment number one for the Seo Press Challenge was to use the various keyword tools that I have outlined in course video #1, the goal was to identify twenty or so possible niche markets that you could create a site on. By using a bunch of free keyword tools you were able to get a better idea of each niche from daily search traffic, amount of advertisers paying for traffic via Adwords as well as identifying just how competitive each niche is.

Before moving on I wanted to touch based on monetizing a site using Adsense, especially when targeting what I call “gadget freaks”. The video above provides all the details you will need in regards to Adsense and monetization. With this in mind you should now choose your top niches and reserver those for later.

Pick the one niche your most passionate about and register a domain name based on the target keyword phrase.

Make sure to use one of the following domain extensions.

• com
• net
• org
• info
• biz
• us

Moving On To Assignment #2) Installing Wordpress & Site Launch

Your next step after registering your domain name will be to launch your site via wordpress and perform the following. You need to finish all the things listed below when you first launch your wordpress site. If you not sure you can get all this done then save it for another day when you can set aside four or five hours.

If your comfortable with wordpress this will take you a couple of hours to complete.

1. Switch your sites theme over to either one of the free Seo Press Formula themes.
2. Edit your sites “Reading” options to display a “static page” and choose “about”.
3. Next you will need to edit the about page, you will use your target keyword phrase in the wordpress title and you will then write a 600 word article (must be unique content) on that very page.
4. The last paragraph of your 600 word article should link out to between 4 and 10 high rankings sites for your niches target keyword phrase and relating phrases. Use Google LSI to link out to search phrases that related to your target terms. You can get more information on LSI by watching the course video about wordpress categories and LSI.
5. Step five you will come up with a list of at least 15 keyword phrases that people are search for within your niche. Use the same tactics and free keyword tools to develop this list.
6. Next you will need to “link out” use the wordpress “links” function to sites within your niche. Use the new keyword list you developed in step 5 and search for the very phrases you will target later. Link out to sites that rank in the top ten of Google for those very terms. You do not and should not use the exact search phrases that you will target later. Think of this as simply a list of quality sites within your sites theme or niche. I often like to mix in some links using what I call buy words such as buy, order, purchase, store, discount, used, sale, special, ect …
7. Install the plugin All In One Seo and make sure your site has a proper title tag and meta description. Again think about adding one or two buy words to your meta description.

When your finished with these tasks you can change the setting according to the Seo Press Formula videos. Setting such as permalinks, reading, writing, activating plugins, ect …

However I can not stress enough, do not move past the steps listed above.

Do NOT:

• Only do what I have outlined above (this is the short version of what not to do)
• Do not add adsense
• Do not worry about pinglists
• Do not add ebay links
• Do not add any affiliate links
• Do not post any articles to the site

Why is it so important to finish all these tasks in one sitting?

Because the goal is to establish trust with Google, when the google bot comes and visits your site your after a really good first impression. You never have a second chance at a solid first impression, so it is important to complete what is listed here.
